Last weekend, I went to a little mountain town to get clarity around all the things I wanted to do with The Writers’ Co-op in the coming year. I wish I had a few extra days to really let thinks marinade and cook, but the seeds have already been planted.

Getting clarity on any small business is critical. As I like to say: you really shouldn’t be operating a commercial plane without knowing the flight path ahead.

That’s why auditing your business and planning for the year ahead is so incredibly important, and why I’m so passionate about running the business audit workshop year after year. If you can’t take yourself out of your house for an extended business retreat, I hope you’re at least able to spend a few hours on your business with a cozy beverage, some blankets, and some soft music.
